Pill Planners

Ok. So let's talk about pill planners. They come in all shapes, sizes, colors etc. etc. some have electronic alarm clocks built into them. I have many patients that use the standard 7-Day pill planners. Some come in single dose time (one time daily) and others come in up to 4 times daily. Great. Some machines will actually dispense the medications for you at the appropriate time. Some are connected to the Internet. Sometimes folks have someone to help them set up their medications in pill planners or some other system. Sometimes not. Really, what it comes down to is what works for you.

Another option is to have the pharmacy do the "pill planning for you". Legally, pharmacies cannot dispense medications out in a pill planner. They have to be dispensed in some type of approved packaging. We offer this type of packaging to help folks organize their medications on a 28 day cycle, so they come due the same day every month. We call our system RxtoGo. Everyone that tries it seems to like it.

Basically, whatever works for you is great. Have a great day!
