So, one of the buzzwords nowadays is medication "compliance" or "adherence". I think someone felt like the term compliance insinuated a more authoritarian approach to telling someone to take their medications. I get it. No one likes to be told what to do. Well, whatever you call it, sometimes patients can use a little help in taking their medications. I like to help with this. First of all, I have to sit down with someone to find out the details of why they may or may not be taking their medications. The sit down is crucial.
